According to PollStar, When In Rome & Missing Persons will be playing Hollywood Park in Inglewood, CA on July 3rd 2008. If you happen to make the show stop back by and leave a review or a photo or two.

Missing Persons released a live album "Live From The Danger Zone!" in March. Said to be "their very first official live album" & Dale Bozzio (of Missing Persons) released a solo album last October. Titled "New Wave Sessions" it contains 2 Missing Persons songs and covers of the following.

I Know What Boys Like
Funkytown
Turning Japanese
Der Kommissar
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

Sadly though, no original tunes.

When In Rome doesn't currently have a website, they do however have an active MySpace page here. There's a current tour schedule and talk of a new album in the later part of 2008. Check out the live version of The Promise on the embedded music player.

B-52s on Tour

June 6, 2008 15:07 by cjirka

If you haven't heard,  The B-52s are on tour supporting their new album FunPlex. Tour schedule here. Purchase the CD from Amazon.

Here's a friends review of the recent tour.

"Friday night seemed like a night straight from 1984. Pink beehive hairdos, mirrored suits, and gold lame.  Yes, it was a concert by the B-52's at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia.  I must say they all sounded fantastic.  No falter in their voices at all with the original line-up of Fred, Cindy, & Kate on vocals and Keith on guitar.  Fred even played a high school marching band xylophone and a kid's slide whistle.  And Cindy was great on bongos. But, alas, we all age and well, Cindy just didn't seem like she could hang like she used to.  She didn't move as much as Fred and Kate and her clothes were a little frumpy and tight and not in a good way.
If you didn't know that they put out a new CD, they did!  It is entitled Funplex and it does not disappoint.
But the old songs they did were fabulous!  Planet Claire, Mesopotamia, Roam, Private Idaho,  Love Shack, among others and for their second and final encore Rock Lobster--the long version.  As Mr. Burns from the Simpson's would say------"Excellent!"
Well, this has been my second concert review in these many months and I will be putting out another at the end of the summer unless, won't tell you what other 80's band that will be, I may have told some of you.  Also heard a rumor that DEVO is touring this summer.  Hey, I couldn't afford or wasn't allowed to go see these people way back when, so I am having fun now!  Kathy"
